Position Summary

The Business Analyst bridges business stakeholders and technical teams by gathering requirements, improving business processes, and ensuring solutions successfully achieve organizational goals and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements by collaborating with stakeholders, business users, and cross-functional project teams.

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, discovery workshops, and requirement review sessions to understand business needs, challenges, priorities, and expected project outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting process documentation.

  • Perform business process analysis, gap analysis, workflow mapping, and recommend practical process improvements that align with organizational objectives and business strategies.

  • Manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle by maintaining traceability, documenting changes, and ensuring stakeholder approval before implementation activities begin.

Project Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to support project planning, scope management, risk assessment, project documentation, and change request evaluation activities.

  • Work closely with Software Developers to clarify business requirements, review functional designs, validate implemented features, and resolve requirement-related issues.

  • Partner with Data Analysts to define reporting requirements, validate business data, review KPI calculations, and ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.

  • Coordinate with business stakeholders to review project deliverables, validate business requirements, obtain approvals, and communicate project progress throughout implementation.

Testing & Deployment

  • Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating business functionality, and tracking issues.

  • Assist deployment and Go-Live activities by validating business processes, supporting end users, resolving issues, and ensuring successful production implementation.

  • Verify completed solutions meet approved business requirements, functional specifications, and organizational expectations before project closure and operational handover.

Key Deliverables

  • Prepare and maintain Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), process maps, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation.

  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), gap analysis reports, and functional documentation supporting project implementation activities.

  • Develop User Acceptance Testing documentation, business validation reports, change request documentation, meeting minutes, and stakeholder approval records throughout the project.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline with strong business and analytical knowledge.

  • Experience supporting enterprise business analysis, process improvement initiatives, or information technology projects using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitate business discussions, and translate business needs into clear functional requirements.

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio for business documentation, process mapping, reporting, presentations, and workflow diagram creation.

  • Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, and Azure DevOps for project collaboration, requirement management, issue tracking, and documentation management.
