Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Marketing Data Analyst to play a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making within our marketing organization. In this role, you will collaborate with product teams, data owners, and engineering resources to discover, transform, and operationalize data that supports key marketing strategies. Additionally, you will create insightful visualizations, diagnose performance trends, and ensure data quality through rigorous testing.
Key Responsibilities
Data Source Collaboration and Attribute Creation
Partner with product teams and data owners to identify and assess existing data sources that can be leveraged to generate new attributes for marketing initiatives.
Design and document logic to transform raw data into marketing-friendly attributes tailored to strategic goals.
Work closely with the engineering team to communicate attribute requirements and ensure successful implementation and delivery.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Conduct thorough User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on newly derived attributes before they are deployed.
Validate that data transformations and calculated fields meet business, quality, and functional requirements.
Provide feedback to technical teams, ensuring the delivered attributes align with expected specifications and are marketing-ready.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a data analytics or marketing analytics role.
Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
Strong Excel and SQL skills; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
Experience working with large datasets and managing data transformation processes.
Proven ability to create actionable insights from data, particularly in a marketing or campaign context.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to leverage them for data discovery, reporting, and campaign optimization.
Prior experience with working with batch and streaming data sources.
Knowledge of marketing technologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., AEP, Eloqua etc.).
A blend of technical data skills and a deep familiarity with marketing operations and analytics.
Excellent communication skills to align with marketing teams and translate requirements to data teams.
Proactive approach in identifying data opportunities and improving processes to unlock data access and personalization.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams to ensure seamless delivery of marketing data needs.
MUST REQUIRED
Monthly Once Onsite required.
